20-Year Old Brunette, S. and W. Office Employee Bathing Beauty (pageant held Tuesday August 21st)

Miss ‘Bunny’ Vermette, a 20-year old brunette, was chosen as “Miss Winnipesaukee of 1945” at the annual bathing beauty contest held at Irwin’s Winnipesaukee Gardens last night. Miss Vermette wore a two-piece white bathing suit which was in sharp contrast with her deep tan.

She is the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Delphis Vermette of Spring Street, and is employed as a stenographer at Scott and Williams.

In the finals were three contestants aside from Bunny; Anita French of Avery Street, who was a very close runner-up, Miss Paula Baker, of Meredith, and Miss Leonora Antonceccki of Somerville, Mass.

Judges were Capt. Bernard I. Snierson, A.A.F., representing the Army, S1/C James Murphy of Boston, representing the Navy, and the Misses Patsy O’Neil of Pendleton Beach, Nancy Head, Nan Sullivan, Virginia Reiley and Beverly Nadon.
